Meet our team

After six years of experience in international logistics, working for 3 different worldwide carriers, Tom Verlinden chose to move to St. Maarten to start this adventure. He looks out for the team and combines his management position with all the different sales & development activities to grow the MarSea portfolio.

When not out for work, Tom likes to travel, meet different cultures and mingle , accompanied by his girlfriend and a good glass of wine.

Tom Verlinden

Shawn joined the team in August 2016, having a maritime background including different social work experiences. He is responsible for general operations, making sure our vessels are handled efficiently and customers enjoy a smooth delivery of their cargo.

On a day off, Shawn likes to watch movies and documentaries, but equally enjoys going outside in the fresh air. Although he is originally from Aruba, Shawn feels for St Maarten and is ready to rumble.

When asked to describe one’s self it’s always hard to pin point that sentence that sums it all up.

For me I think I can say the love of my family, friends and sports.

I’m an active player of Volleyball. I give trainings for the youths within the community on my free time.

Prior to working at Marsea Services I was in The Netherlands studying Logistics’ Management.

Now that I’m doing Sales, Development and Operational task within the company. It helps me learn even more in the world of Logistics.
